LG Aspirant Ashade Abdulsalam to Host Dignitaries at AGM Ramadan Lecture

Hon. Ashade Abdulsalam, an aspirant for the Chairmanship position in Olorunda LCDA, in a bid to foster unity and promote leadership values through Islamic teachings, is set to host a high-profile Ramadan Lecture under the banner of the Ashade Grassroot Movement (AGM).

The event, scheduled for Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, will take place at Open Space, Iga Ijaiye Quarters, Iworo-Awori Land, bringing together political figures, traditional rulers, and Islamic scholars.

With the theme, "Trust as a Core of Leadership: The Islamic Perspective," the lecture aims to emphasize the essence of accountability, integrity, and service in governance. The Chief Imam of Oto-Awori Land, El-Imam Muh Taofeek Harun Arogundade, will deliver the keynote address.

The event will be chaired by Alhaji Abubakre Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Alatileyin Adini of Badagry and Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development. The Royal Father of the Day will be HRM Oba Oladele Friday Kosoko Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, while the Special Guest of Honour will be Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency.

Spiritual guidance for the occasion will be provided by Fadilat Sheikh Sulaiman Olamilekan Mustapha Ndasiri II, the Chief Imam of Iworo Central Mosque.

According to Ashade Abdulsalam, the Ramadan Lecture is more than just a religious gathering—it is an opportunity to reflect on leadership, service, and the collective responsibility of the community in governance.

“As we observe this sacred month of Ramadan, we must renew our commitment to leadership values that align with Islamic principles—trust, accountability, and fairness,” Ashade stated.

The AGM Ramadan Lecture is expected to attract a diverse audience, including clerics, community leaders, and political stakeholders, all united in the quest for a better Olorunda LCDA.

Residents and well-wishers have been encouraged to attend and partake in what promises to be a spiritually enriching and thought-provoking discourse on leadership and trust.
