Renowned musician and politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has reaffirmed his ancestral ties to Lagos State, particularly the Badagry area. While the entertainer is widely recognized as a Yoruba man, he clarified that his paternal lineage traces back to Badagry, Lagos State.
Banky W’s mother, however, hails from Calabar in Cross River State, situated in Nigeria’s South-South region.
