The Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has rated the Badagry General Hospital and its facilities highly during a routine inspection conducted by the agency today.
Officials from HEFAMAA arrived in Badagry as part of a week-long inspection exercise to monitor public and private hospitals and other health facilities for compliance with industry best practices.
According to De Voice Newspaper, Dr. Olatunde Bakare, the Medical Director of Badagry General Hospital, revealed this shortly after the inspection. Dr. Bakare noted that apart from a few observations raised by the inspection team—described as "low-hanging fruits"—the facility was rated above average by the agency.
Departments inspected during the visit included Radiology, Dispensary, Accident and Emergency, Consulting Rooms, Pharmacy, Kitchen, and others.
