In a heartfelt post shared on social media, Prince Olu Kosoko, a respected community leader and advocate of human capacity development in Badagry, has commended Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan for his dedication to empowering youths and fostering economic growth in Badagry Federal Constituency.

Reflecting on Hon. Whingan’s recent youth-focused initiatives, including the Biogas on Domestic Utilization Training, Prince Kosoko expressed optimism about the constituency's future. He noted that the program aligns with Nigeria's Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, emphasizing Badagry's potential as a hub for renewable energy development due to its untapped gas resources.

“Hon. Sesi Whingan's efforts are a true demonstration of intentional leadership," Prince Kosoko wrote. "By building a sustainable structure for renewable energy and human capacity development, he is setting the stage for Badagry’s growth and prosperity.”

Highlighting the achievements of Hon. Whingan, Prince Kosoko listed several groundbreaking initiatives facilitated in 2024 by the federal lawmaker, including:

1. Social Media and Digital Marketing Training – Trained 27 participants in September, equipping them with skills to thrive in the digital economy.
2. Solar Power Training – Empowered 50 participants in September with knowledge of renewable energy solutions.
3. 1000 Tech Talent Programme (1000TTP) – Currently training 200 young individuals to build skills in technology and entrepreneurship (November).
4. Biogas Training – Promoting sustainable renewable energy practices, training 50 participants (November).

Prince Kosoko praised Hon. Whingan’s vision for not only enhancing the intellectual capacities of Badagry youths but also positioning the constituency to leverage renewable energy as a key driver of economic growth.

As the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Hon. Whingan has consistently demonstrated his commitment to youth empowerment, skill development, and sustainable initiatives. His leadership has become a beacon of hope, inspiring greater inclusion of young people in governance and innovation.
