In a landmark move to strengthen communication with Nigerians, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will engage the nation in his first live presidential media chat tonight, December 23, 2024.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled for 9 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). The Presidency has called on all television and radio stations nationwide to align with the broadcast to ensure wide accessibility.
This development was confirmed in a statement issued earlier today by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga. The statement emphasized the importance of the media chat as a platform for direct interaction between the President and the citizens.
“All television and radio stations are requested to hook up to the broadcast,” the statement urged, reflecting the Presidency’s commitment to ensuring inclusivity in disseminating information.
The media chat is expected to cover key national issues, including recent reforms, governance strategies, and plans for the future, offering Nigerians a unique opportunity to hear directly from their President.
As the nation awaits the broadcast, political analysts and citizens alike are gearing up for what promises to be a defining moment in President Tinubu’s administration.
