Dangote Refinery Reduces PMS Price to N899.50 Per Litre

In a statement released Thursday morning, Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a reduction in the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per Litre. The company also offered credit facility to consumers of it's product.

The company explained that the decision aims to “provide much-needed relief for Nigerians ahead of the holiday season.”

“Africa’s first privately-owned oil refinery, which previously adjusted the price to N970 per litre on November 24, has further reduced it to N899.50 per litre. This measure is designed to ease transportation costs during the festive period,” the statement read. The announcement was signed by the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.

In addition to the price reduction, the company introduced a special offer to benefit consumers.

“To further alleviate transport costs this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering consumers an additional litre of fuel on credit for every litre purchased on a cash basis. This offer is backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” Chiejina stated.

The refinery also expressed its gratitude to Nigerians for their support as the festive season approaches.

Chiejina reiterated the company’s commitment to providing premium-quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally friendly, and safe for engines. He emphasized that the refinery’s operations signal the end of Nigeria being a dumping ground for substandard and blended imported fuel, which have posed significant risks to health, machinery, and the environment.

The Dangote Refinery, with a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is the largest single-train refinery in the world. It is capable of meeting Nigeria’s refined petroleum needs in full, with surplus products available for export.
