Hon. Sesi Whingan, the Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, has launched a groundbreaking educational initiative, the "Strategic Educational Empowerment" program, aimed at improving the learning environment and enhancing educational resources for public primary schools across the constituency. The event, which took place at the Hunwaji Apartment and Event Centre in Badagry, was proudly sponsored by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

Represented by Prince Wale Adesina, Chairman of the Sesi Whingan Foundation, Hon. Whingan’s program is designed to provide much-needed educational materials to public schools across the Badagry Federal Constituency, covering the Badagry Local Government, Olorunda LCDA, and Badagry West LCDA. The initiative seeks to uplift the learning experience for primary school pupils and ensure that students in these communities have the necessary tools to excel in their education.

The items procured and to be distributed through the collaboration with SMEDAN include huge numbers of essential teaching aids such as whiteboards, chalkboards, exercise books, school bags, food flasks, stationery sets, and packs of pencils, among others. These materials will be evenly distributed to all public primary schools across the Badagry Federal Constituency.

During the event, symbolic presentations were made to representatives from various primary schools in attendance. The generous support from Hon. Sesi Whingan, through the collaboration with SMEDAN, is expected to make a significant impact in improving the quality of education and empowering students to thrive academically.

Prominent personalities who graced the occasion included: Hon. Gafar Menyon, APC Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Ebenezer Babalola, APC Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Pius Hunyingan, Father of Hon. Sesi Whingan, Leader Avigbe Joshua, officials from SMEDAN, among others.

Speaking at the event, Prince Wale Adesina commended Hon. Sesi Whingan for his continued commitment to the development of Badagry and its people, particularly in the area of education.

“This program is a testament to Hon. Whingan’s dedication to creating lasting positive change in the lives of young people in Badagry. By equipping our schools with these essential materials, we are investing in the future of our children,” Adesina said.

The Strategic Educational Empowerment Program is part of Hon. Sesi Whingan’s ongoing efforts to improve the standard of education in his constituency and ensure that students have access to the resources they need to succeed. With this initiative, Hon. Whingan continues to demonstrate his commitment to the development of Badagry’s educational infrastructure, ensuring that no child is left behind.
