The initiative, coordinated by Prince Wale Adesina, benefited women from Badagry Local Government, Olorunda, and Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA). Essential items such as 10kg bags of rice, packs of spaghetti, bottles of groundnut oil, mosquito nets, towels, baby diapers, blankets, and guinea brocade fabrics were distributed alongside the cash gifts.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Whingan reaffirmed his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, especially during the festive period. He emphasized that the initiative reflects his vision of inclusive representation, ensuring that no constituent is left behind.
“This program is part of my commitment to improving the lives of my people, particularly the vulnerable. The Yuletide season is a time for giving, and we want to ensure that families in Badagry can celebrate with dignity and joy,” Hon. Whingan said.
The event attracted several notable personalities, including APC Women Leaders, Supervisors for Women and Poverty Alleviation from the three councils, Hon. Ade Agoro, an APC stalwart and former Executive Secretary of Badagry West LCDA, and Mrs. Modinat Bolaji, Education Secretary of Badagry Local Government Education Authority.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the lawmaker's thoughtfulness. One widow described the gesture as “a lifeline,” highlighting how it would bring relief to her family during the festive season.
The distribution initiative underscores Hon. Whingan’s dedication to grassroots empowerment and improving the well-being of his constituents. It also reflects his broader commitment to fostering a sense of community and compassion within Badagry Federal Constituency.
