The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, inviting applications from qualified Nigerians to fill vacant positions across the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant Cadres.  

Available Positions

Category A: Customs Superintendent Cadre (CONSOLE 08) 

Roles: General Duty, Support Staff, and Professionals.  

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree, HND, or equivalent from a recognized university or polytechnic.  
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.  

Category B: Customs Inspector Cadre (CONSOLE 06)  

  • Roles: General Duty, Support Staff, and Professionals.  
  • Qualifications:  OND, NCE, or equivalent from recognized institutions.  

Category C: Customs Assistant Cadre (CONSOLE 03, 04)  

Roles: General Duty, Support Staff, and Professionals.  

Qualifications:  

  •  Secondary School Certificate with five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics.  
  •  Trade Test Certificate or Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity-approved proficiency certificates (where applicable).  

Application Guidelines  

Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:  

  1. Visit the Official Portal: All applications must be submitted online via the Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Portal at (https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng).  
  2. Ensure Eligibility: Applicants must meet the specific qualifications for their desired position.  
  3. Avoid Multiple Applications: Submitting more than one application will lead to disqualification.  
  4. Provide Active Contact Details: Ensure your email address and phone number are active and reachable. Phone numbers on Do Not Disturb (DND) mode will not receive invitation messages.  

General Conditions  

Applicants must meet the following criteria:  

  • Nigerian citizenship by birth.  
  • Completion of primary education with a First School Leaving Certificate.  
  • Minimum height: 1.7 meters (male) and 1.64 meters (female).  
  • Medical fitness with no physical or mental challenges.  
  • No criminal record or membership in secret societies or cults.  

Applicants must also present a certificate of state/LGA of origin and avoid submitting falsified documents, as this will result in disqualification and possible prosecution.  

Important Dates 

The application window is open from December 27, 2024, to January 2, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process.
