Prince Adeniyi Balogun, Chairmanship Aspirant, Olorunda LCDA |
Prince Balogun, a leading aspirant from Ward E in Olorunda, shared his aspirations during an exclusive telephone interview with Badagry Today amidst the yuletide celebrations. He emphasized his commitment to grassroots development and pledged to continue the legacy of good governance initiated by the incumbent chairman.
“Hon. Samson Olatunde has done exceptionally well in the past seven years as Chairman of Olorunda LCDA. He has set a standard for impactful leadership, and I aim to build on his achievements,” Prince Balogun stated.
The aspiring chairman highlighted that his vision aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s call for governance to be more inclusive and impactful at the grassroots level. He believes that his deep connection with the community equips him to address the unique challenges facing the people of Olorunda.
If elected, Prince Balogun promised to prioritize basic free education, youth and women empowerment, and job creation. “Education is the bedrock of development, and providing free basic education will ensure that no child is left behind. Empowering women and youth will create a more vibrant and self-reliant community, while job creation will improve the quality of life for our people,” he explained.
As the race for the chairmanship gathers momentum, Prince Balogun’s grassroots-oriented agenda and his commitment to continuity have positioned him as a formidable contender. His vision, he said, is to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that Olorunda LCDA remains a model for sustainable development in Badagry.
The forthcoming election is expected to be a closely contested one, with Prince Balogun’s candidacy drawing significant attention from stakeholders and residents alike.
Prince Adeniyi Balogun was the Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC, Olorunda Local Council Development Area.
