The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced plans to auction more than 300 forfeited vehicles across the country. The disclosure was made through the agency's official and verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.

In its statement, the EFCC revealed that the auction will be conducted via an e-auction platform by appointed auctioneers. The process will be in compliance with the EFCC (Establishment) Act of 2004, the Public Procurement Act of 2007, and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Act of 2022.  

The agency urged members of the public to participate in the process, emphasizing that the vehicles are subjects of final forfeiture orders. Specific details regarding the auction's timeline and procedures are expected to be shared shortly.  

This move is part of the EFCC's efforts to manage assets recovered from proceeds of crime transparently and in line with legal provisions.
