Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Executive Chairman, Hon. Gbenu Henugbe Joseph, today presented a proposed budget of ₦6,887,291,058.56 to the councilors at the Rt. Hon. Bamgbose Legislative Chamber. The 2025 appropriation bill, titled the "Budget of Consolidation," focuses on completing ongoing projects and introducing new developmental initiatives.

In his address, Hon. Gbenu emphasized that the budget prioritizes key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability. “This budget is designed to foster inclusivity, promote innovation, and enhance service delivery across all sectors of our LCDA,” he stated.  

According to Badagry Parrot News, the Chairman also seized the opportunity to express profound gratitude to Hon. Bamgbose Joseph, former Lagos State House of Assembly member and Apex Leader of Badagry West, for his pivotal role in the creation of Badagry West LCDA during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Lagos State Governor. He hailed Hon. Bamgbose's enduring contributions to the development of the council.  

Hon. Sejoro Idowu Mathew, Leader of the House, assured that the legislative arm would diligently examine the budget and expedite its passage. He also called on residents to fulfill their tax obligations, commending Hon. Gbenu for his notable performance in the previous fiscal year.  

The event, attended by distinguished leaders such as Hon. Ade Agoro and Hon. Abu Oriyemi, celebrated the contributions of key figures to the growth of Badagry West. A moment of silence was observed in honor of the late Dr. Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, an influential leader and Apex Leader of the Badagry Federation.  

Badagry Parrot News reports that the proposed budget aims to set a benchmark for sustainable growth and development in 2025.
