Dr. Sunny Ajose, a member of the prestigious Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and a former Head of Service during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's tenure as Governor of Lagos State, was widely recognized for his exemplary service to the state and his commitment to public governance.
During the visit, Dr. Sanwo-Olu conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the state government and commended the late Dr. Ajose for his unwavering dedication to public service. She described him as a pillar of wisdom and a staunch advocate for good governance whose contributions will forever be remembered.
Speaking to the bereaved family, Dr. Sanwo-Olu said, "Dr. Sunny Ajose was a mentor to many and a source of inspiration in the public service. His legacy of diligence, integrity, and selfless service to Lagos State is one we must all strive to emulate. On behalf of the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the entire Lagos State Government, I extend our deepest sympathies to the family during this difficult time."
Members of the Ajose family expressed their gratitude to the First Lady for the visit and the government's support. They described Dr. Ajose as a loving father and a dedicated statesman who served Lagos with distinction.
Dr. Sunny Ajose’s passing has left a significant void in the political and administrative landscape of Lagos State. His legacy as a visionary leader and committed public servant will continue to inspire generations to come.
Funeral arrangements for the late Dr. Ajose are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
