The Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development has inaugurated management committees and appointed seven chairpersons to oversee the operations of youth centers across the state. The inauguration, held on January 15, 2025, underscores the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and community development.

The committees, which include residents, members of Community Development Associations (CDAs), and youth representatives, are tasked with managing the daily operations and maintenance of the centers. This inclusive strategy ensures efficient administration while strengthening the centers' roles as vital hubs for youth engagement and development.

Speaking at the event in the ministry’s conference room, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, highlighted that the initiative aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES PLUS agenda, which prioritizes youth welfare and social inclusion. He emphasized that fostering a supportive environment for young people is essential to building a more equitable and progressive society.
