The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, has facilitated a scholarship award for Mr. Augustine Kiki, a teacher at Lagos State Model College, Kankon, Badagry, through the Government of India. The scholarship will enable Kiki to pursue advanced educational training in India, further enhancing his teaching skills.
Hon. Ogunlende, in a Facebook post, described the his effort as part of his commitment to youth empowerment and community development in Badagry. He emphasized that the opportunity aligns with his broader vision of investing in education to build a stronger and more progressive society.
"As part of our new year resolutions from our just-concluded team retreat, I facilitated an Educational Training trip to India for Mr. Kiki Augustine, a proud Badagrian and member of my team who teaches at the prestigious Lagos State Model College, Kankon, Badagry," Ogunlende wrote.
"This trip is part of my effort to support and empower my community, Badagry, especially the younger generation. I believe in building a stronger community by providing opportunities for growth and development."
The Commissioner highlighted that this initiative is one of several interventions he has facilitated, urging leaders to continue creating opportunities for young people to learn and grow.
"I am committed to continuing my support for my people in Badagry and Lagos at large, and I am excited to see the positive impact we can make together," he added.
