In a show of solidarity and respect, key political figures in Lagos State paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Pa Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, a revered elder statesman and former Chairman of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission.

The delegation included the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; the Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan; and the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, who had earlier made his condolence visit before the duo of Ojelabi and Whingan. Also in the team of the APC Chairman and Whingan was Alhaja Bolaji Modinat, the Education Secretary, Badagry Local Government Education District. 

The visit, which took place at the family residence in Ogba, Ikeja, was marked by an outpouring of tributes to the late Pa Ajose, who was described as a dedicated public servant and community leader. The delegation expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family, emphasizing Pa Ajose’s immense contributions to the development of Lagos State, particularly in Badagry.  

Speaking during the visit, Pastor Ojelabi noted:  

“Pa Ajose was a pillar of wisdom and integrity who served Lagos State selflessly. His legacy will continue to inspire generations.”  

Hon. Sesi Whingan commended Pa Ajose’s commitment to community service, saying:  

“His life was a testament to dedication and excellence. Badagry has lost a great son, but his impact will forever be remembered.”  

Mr. Ogunlende also lauded the late elder statesman’s role in fostering youth development and good governance, pledging to uphold the values he stood for. He remarked:  

“His contributions to our community and his unwavering commitment to service will forever be remembered. The loss of such a great leader and mentor is deeply felt, not only by his family and close associates but by the entire Badagry community.”  

The family of the late Pa Ajose expressed their gratitude for the visit and the kind words, describing it as a source of comfort during their period of grief.  

Pa Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, who passed away recently, was a prominent figure in Lagos State politics and administration, known for his integrity, humility, and service to humanity. His death has left a significant void in the community.
