In a move to commemorate the legacy of the late Pa Sunny Akinsanya Ajose (OON), the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA), has appointed three women as Senior Special Assistants (SSAs). This decision, announced six months before the end of his tenure, reflects a commitment to advancing women’s empowerment, a cause championed by Pa Ajose during his lifetime.  

The appointments were officially unveiled during the 2025 Olorunda LCDA Women Colloquium and Empowerment Program. According to Abdulwahab Adeosun, the Chairman's media aide, the appointments are part of efforts to preserve the late elder statesman’s enduring contributions to societal development.  

The newly appointed SSAs are:  

  • Alhaja Modina Akinyemi – SSA Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA)  
  • Pastor Bola Oladipupo – SSA Political  
  • Mrs. Aishat Dariyan – SSA Civic Engagements  

Hon. Olatunde described the late Pa Ajose as a visionary leader who prioritized women’s development and empowerment. He noted that the appointments were a symbolic continuation of Pa Ajose’s ideals, ensuring his legacy remains a source of inspiration for future generations.  

The late Pa Sunny Ajose was widely celebrated for his contributions to community development and women’s inclusion in governance. His passing left a significant void, but his influence continues to resonate through initiatives like this.
