Oyo State to Distribute Appointment Letters to 902 Newly Recruited Graduates

Oyo State will commence the distribution of appointment letters to 902 graduates recently employed into the state’s civil service. The exercise is scheduled to start on Friday, January 24, 2025, and conclude on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

The recruitment, approved by Governor Seyi Makinde, targets graduates with university degrees and Higher National Diplomas across various disciplines.

In a statement released Wednesday, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, announced that successful candidates should collect their letters at designated offices within the Commission. Collection times are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily, except Friday, when the exercise will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Alhaji Aderibigbe congratulated the successful candidates, urging them to maintain decorum during the process. He emphasized that appointment letters would not be issued by proxy, with commissioners on-site to oversee the exercise.

Collection Schedule:  

  • Friday, January 24, 2025: Administrative Officer, Accountant, Agricultural Officer, and Education Officer cadres.  
  • -Monday, January 27, 2025: Animal Health Technologist, Assistant Social Welfare Officer, Auditor, Civil Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Environmental Health, Forest Officer, Geologist, and others in specialized roles, including Youth Development and Tourism Officer cadres.  
  • Tuesday, January 28, 2025: Higher Executive Officer (Information, Public Relations, and Tourism), Higher Programme Officer, Inspector of Taxes, Lands Officer, Social Welfare Officer, State Counsel, and other technical and professional cadres.  

Alhaji Aderibigbe expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for initiating the unprecedented recruitment drive and prayed for the Governor's continued success and good health throughout his tenure.  

This initiative is part of Governor Makinde’s commitment to improving the state’s workforce and providing employment opportunities for its graduates.
