Yaqub, born in Nigeria in 2006, has been described as a promising talent with immense potential. Before joining Brito Sporting Club, he honed his skills at Brooke College Football Academy in the United Kingdom, where he gained recognition for his exceptional performance on the field.
During his time at Brooke College, Yaqub delivered an impressive record, scoring 17 goals in 32 matches. With no injuries reported in 116 training days, he clocked an astounding 2,270 minutes of game time, showcasing his stamina and resilience.
Tomasz Wasylik, head coach of Brooke College's Under-17B team, praised Yaqub’s professionalism, work ethic, and versatility, describing him as a "tactical player" and "technically good," with the ability to excel in multiple positions.
