Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to collaborative governance following a courtesy visit by the newly elected Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, and her team of principal officers to the Lagos House, Ikeja.  

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement shared on his Facebook page, highlighted the critical importance of synergy between the executive and legislative arms in advancing Lagos State’s developmental agenda.  

“This morning, I received the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, and her team of Principal Officers at Lagos House, Ikeja,” the Governor wrote.  

During the meeting, both parties reiterated their shared commitment to fostering a harmonious working relationship to ensure the state remains a beacon of excellence in governance. Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the collaboration would focus on building on past successes and driving transformational progress across all sectors.  

The Governor also expressed optimism about implementing policies and projects aligned with the state’s Greater Lagos vision, which aims to enhance the quality of life for residents.  

Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, who recently assumed office as Speaker, assured the Governor of the Assembly's unwavering support in delivering impactful governance to the people of Lagos.  

The meeting underscores the unity of purpose between the two arms of government as they work toward achieving sustainable development in Lagos State.
