Lagos State University (LASU) has introduced a homegrown virtual meeting platform, LASU Talkspace, designed to compete with global video conferencing tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, approved the application’s deployment for use by both the university community and the general public. Developed by the LASU Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), Talkspace is tailored for e-conferences, online meetings, and virtual seminars.
The platform is free for LASU staff, provided they use their official email addresses, while external users can access its services by subscribing based on their intended usage.
