Suspected kidnappers, numbering about 30, have invaded the Chikakore area of Kubwa in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, abducting a man, his wife, their son, and two others.
Eyewitnesses reported that the heavily armed assailants, wielding AK-47 rifles, struck the community around midnight on Monday. The attackers targeted the residence of one Adefija Michael Akinropo, taking him, his wife, their son, and an elder brother hostage, Daily Trust reports
The criminals then moved to a nearby property, which houses a poultry farm, abducting another man and injuring his wife in the process.
Local authorities confirmed that officers from the Byazin Police Station have visited the scene to commence investigations. However, as of press time, the kidnappers have not reached out to the victims' families.
