Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, recently led his team on a three-day retreat to Cotonou, aimed at setting the tone for the year ahead and discussing developmental strategies for Badagry.

The retreat, held from January 10 to January 12, brought together key team members, including Wande Desmond Dephilosopher, Ashade Abdulsalam, Medemaku Samuel, and Augustine Kiki. The initiative was designed to evaluate past achievements, align efforts with the THEMES Plus agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and map out actionable plans to deliver impactful governance to the grassroots.

Sharing his experience on social media, Augustine Kiki described the retreat as a holistic blend of strategic planning, team bonding, and entertainment. In his post, he highlighted the Commissioner’s dedication to fostering unity and collaboration while ensuring that governance remains people-centric.

"The retreat not only allowed us to reflect on our journey so far but also provided an atmosphere for bonding, fun, and entertainment," Kiki wrote. "It was a testament to Hon. Ogunlende’s humility and commitment to serving the people."

The retreat included brainstorming sessions to develop innovative solutions and strategies for youth development in Badagry, aligning with the state’s broader development agenda. Participants also engaged in team-building activities, which strengthened synergy among the group.

Hon. Ogunlende’s leadership and vision for youth empowerment and grassroots development remain a driving force behind initiatives like this retreat, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and capacity building in governance.

The Commissioner expressed optimism about the outcomes of the retreat, reiterating his commitment to delivering results that resonate with the people of Badagry and Lagos State at large.
