The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Commander in Badagry, Mr. William Manga, confirmed the incident, which occurred at about 11:10 p.m. at Sawmill Bus Stop, Ibereko.
According to Manga, 24 people were involved in the accident. The V-wagon bus, with registration number AGL 867 YA, reportedly lost control while making a U-turn, leading to a head-on collision with the Toyota Camry, bearing plate number KRD 232 HD, which was coming from Mile 2.
“Our personnel received the alert at 11:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene within seven minutes. Four men and three women sustained varying degrees of injuries,” Manga stated.
The injured victims were promptly taken to Care General Hospital in Badagry for medical attention. Authorities attributed the accident to dangerous driving.
Both vehicles were later towed to the Mowo Police Station as investigations continued. The FRSC urged motorists to avoid speeding, reckless driving, and other traffic violations to prevent such incidents.
