In a bid to resolve a longstanding boundary dispute between Ajido in Badagry Central Local Government and Imeke in Olorunda Local Council Development Area, officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, alongside representatives from the Office of the Surveyor-General, visited both communities on Wednesday.

The visit, aimed at clarifying boundary demarcations, involved consultations with traditional rulers and community leaders. According to a tweet by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the discussions were part of ongoing efforts to foster peace and unity between the neighboring communities.

Speaking during the inspection, officials reiterated the state government’s commitment to resolving territorial disputes through dialogue and expert mapping, ensuring that all parties are fairly represented. Residents and local stakeholders welcomed the intervention, expressing hope for a lasting resolution to the disagreement.

The boundary clarification exercise is expected to continue with further engagements and technical assessments to prevent future conflicts and strengthen inter-community relations.
