In a remarkable academic feat, David Adepoju, a native of Badagry, Lagos State, has emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). Adepoju, who studied Mathematics, graduated with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.87 out of 5.0, a milestone he described as a "dream fulfilled."
The brilliant scholar, a former student of Methodist Senior High School, Badagry, took to X formerly Twitter @AdepojuDav77009 to celebrate his achievements, expressing gratitude for the journey that led to his success.
"I am pleased to share with you that I have just successfully earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the prestigious Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State," he announced.
His academic excellence earned him multiple honors, including the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Mathematics, Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Science, and ultimately, the Overall Best Graduating Student of FUOYE.
Adepoju’s impressive record also includes being a recipient of the prestigious MTN Foundation Scholarship in 2023. Throughout his university years, he maintained a perfect CGPA of 5.0/5.0 for three consecutive semesters and won the Dean's Award for eight semesters.
Beyond academics, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as the president of the second-largest Christian fellowship on campus. He also gained professional experience as an intern at the International Centre for Applied Mathematical Modelling and Data Analytics.
His story stands as an inspiration to students, particularly those from Badagry and beyond, proving that with determination and hard work, excellence is attainable.
