The Lagos State House of Assembly has appointed Engr. Setonji David, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency II and the House's Chief Whip as the Chairman of the Committee on Ethics, Protocol, and Privileges.
The appointments of five standing committee leaders were announced during Monday’s plenary session by Speaker Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, marking a significant step in the legislative restructuring process.
Other lawmakers appointed to lead key committees include:
- Hon. Temitope Adewale – Chairman, Business and Rules Committee
- Hon. Richard Kasumu – Chairman, Legislative Compliance Committee
- Hon. Surajudeen Tijani – Chairman, House Services Committee
- Hon. Stephen Ogundipe – Chairman, Information, Strategy, and Security Committee
These appointments follow the recent dissolution of all standing committees and the establishment of a selection committee tasked with nominating new leadership for the legislative arms.
