Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially inaugurated the IBILE Youth Ambassadors, marking a new chapter in the state’s commitment to youth empowerment. The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja, saw the transition of responsibilities from the outgoing ambassadors to a new set of vibrant youth leaders.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, confirmed the development in a statement shared on his Facebook page. He described the event as a “proud moment” for the administration, emphasizing the government’s unwavering dedication to fostering young leaders across the state.
The newly inaugurated IBILE Youth Ambassadors include:
- Obadare Adenekan – State Youth Ambassador
- Faizah Adediran – Ikeja Divisional Ambassador
- Bukola Aladesulu – Badagry Divisional Ambassador
- Dolapo Oshikoya – Ikorodu Divisional Ambassador
- Mohammed Sheriff – Lagos Divisional Ambassador
- DivineFavour Apata – Epe Divisional Ambassador
The IBILE Youth Ambassadors program, named after the five divisions of Lagos State – Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos, and Epe, serves as a platform for young individuals to drive initiatives that promote social development, leadership, and community service.
Speaking on the significance of the inauguration, Hon. Ogunlende reiterated the administration’s determination to “chart a course that leads to a future of boundless opportunity and empowerment for the youth of Lagos.”
The newly appointed ambassadors are expected to play pivotal roles in mentoring their peers, advocating for youth-centered policies, and implementing grassroots initiatives that align with the government’s vision for a progressive and inclusive Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration has consistently prioritized youth engagement, education, and entrepreneurship as key drivers of sustainable development.
