In a statement issued by the hospital's management, concern was raised over the increasing number of patients requesting bill reductions due to the absence of health insurance coverage. The hospital emphasized that Ìlera Èkó remains the most cost-effective health plan in Lagos State and across Nigeria, providing essential medical services at subsidized rates.
Furthermore, the hospital management restated the mandatory requirements for depositing corpses at its morgue, particularly for Brought-In-Dead (BID) cases. It reiterated that a certified police report detailing the deceased’s bio-data, place of death, and cause of death must be presented before such corpses can be accepted or released. This directive, the statement noted, is in strict compliance with Lagos State Government regulations.
The hospital advised families and individuals to adhere to these guidelines to prevent unnecessary delays or complications when seeking medical care or morgue services.
