Newly crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Badagry (MBGB) 2025, Seminapa Toluwalope Williams, has pledged to use her reign to champion the cause of education and inspire young girls in Badagry to pursue their dreams against all odds.

The prestigious pageant ceremony, held at Vajane Hall, Ibereko, Badagry, Lagos State, saw Williams claim the top title, with Imobighe Faustine winning Best Model of the Year, Shehu Juwerat emerging as 1st runner-up, and Joel Eritomi securing the 2nd runner-up position.

Williams, a 23-year-old graduate of Science Laboratory Technology from Lagos State Polytechnic, expressed gratitude for her victory, acknowledging the struggles she overcame, including financial constraints and opposition from her father, report according to The Nation Newspaper says

“When I emerged as the winner, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment. It wasn’t an easy journey, but I remained steadfast. All praises go to the Supreme Being,” she said.

Determined to make a lasting impact, Williams has unveiled an initiative aimed at providing educational support to underprivileged children in Badagry. Her project will focus on distributing essential school materials such as textbooks, notebooks, pens, school uniforms, and bags to ensure that children can learn effectively without financial hindrances.

“Many children in Badagry lack basic educational materials, which discourages them from attending school and increases the risk of dropouts. I want to change that narrative because education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty,” she stated.

Beyond providing school supplies, Williams is also advocating for inclusivity in education, ensuring that students with disabilities receive the necessary support to excel academically. She believes that every child deserves a fair chance at success, regardless of their circumstances.

As a beauty queen, Williams aims to inspire young girls to remain resilient and committed to their goals, despite the challenges they may face.

“To every young girl out there, never give up on your dreams. Stay focused, believe in yourself, and push forward no matter the obstacles. Your perseverance will pay off,” she encouraged.

She also emphasized that beauty pageants should go beyond physical appearance, highlighting the importance of using such platforms to create meaningful change.

“Being a queen is not just about beauty; it’s about impact. I am here to inspire and uplift, not just wear a title or take pictures. My reign will be about making a real difference,” she affirmed.

The MBGB pageant, a long-standing event organized by Sharonmmo Entertainment, has provided a platform for young women in Badagry to showcase their talents and advocate for social causes. The CEO of Sharonmmo Entertainment, Mrs. Chinyere Obiora Mmobuosi, praised the contestants for their dedication and assured them that they are all winners.

“It wasn’t easy at the start, but we thank God for the success of this event. Every participant is a queen in her own right, and we celebrate their efforts,” she said.

As Williams embarks on her reign, she remains committed to ensuring that the Most Beautiful Girl in Badagry title transcends glamour and serves as a beacon of hope and transformation for young girls and children in the community.
