According to a statement by Press Secretary to the council chairman, Mr. Abdulwahab Adeosun, the initiative, aimed at ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from accessing higher education, underscores the administration's commitment to youth empowerment and academic development. Speaking at the distribution event, Hon. Olatunde reaffirmed his dedication to providing opportunities for students in need.
“No student should be denied access to education because of financial challenges. This is part of our broader effort to make education more accessible to all,” he stated. He further emphasized that education remains a crucial tool for societal progress, and his administration is determined to support students in achieving their academic aspirations.
The distribution of the JAMB forms aligns with Olorunda LCDA's broader education-focused initiatives aimed at fostering academic excellence and creating opportunities for the youth. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that the financial assistance would enable them to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and take a step closer to their academic goals.
This move reinforces the council’s proactive approach in addressing educational barriers and ensuring that indigent students have the necessary support to excel. Observers have commended the initiative as a laudable effort towards bridging the educational gap and nurturing future leaders within the community.
