Police operatives from the Satellite Division in Lagos have intercepted a 24-year-old suspect, Wisdom Obi, in possession of a firearm and live ammunition during a routine patrol along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.  

The arrest occurred at Abule Ado bus stop when officers stopped Obi, who was riding an unregistered motorcycle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a Brownie pistol and 13 rounds of live ammunition concealed inside an MP3 radio.  

Confirming the arrest, the police disclosed in a statement that the suspect has been taken into custody, while the motorcycle and recovered items have been documented as exhibits.  

“The suspect was taken into custody, with the motorcycle and recovered items documented as exhibits, while investigation continues,” the statement read.  

Authorities have intensified efforts to determine the source of the firearm and Obi’s intentions, with investigations ongoing to uncover any possible criminal links.  

This development underscores the Lagos State Police Command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety along the strategic Lagos-Badagry corridor.
