The announcement was made earlier today through a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Abduwahab Adebowale Adeosun. While the specific portfolio assigned to Ogunyemi remains undisclosed, her appointment is seen as a strategic decision given her extensive experience in local governance.
Hon. Dupe Ogunyemi holds the distinction of being the pioneer Leader of the House in Olorunda LCDA during the tenure of His Royal Majesty, Oba Olatunji Ogabi, who served as the first council chairman of the LCDA. Her wealth of experience and leadership track record are expected to bring value to the administration of Hon. Olatunde.
According to the official statement, Ogunyemi will be formally sworn in on Thursday, 13th February 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Council Secretariat in Iworo.
Political observers see this appointment as part of Hon. Olatunde’s broader strategy to strengthen governance in Olorunda LCDA by bringing in seasoned hands to drive his administration's agenda.
More details on her assigned responsibilities are expected to be made public in due course.
