At the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Community Development Committee (CDC) and CDAs, the council hall was abuzz with appreciation for the Chairman's developmental strides. The CDC leadership and CDA executives lauded Hon. Olatunde for his transformative initiatives, particularly the ongoing rehabilitation of inner and access roads, which have significantly enhanced mobility within the council area. They urged him to extend these efforts to other parts of the LCDA that are yet to benefit.
In a glowing commendation, CDC Chairman Elder Abu Ganiyu Adeshina praised Hon. Olatunde's leadership, citing its direct impact on the effectiveness of the CDC and CDAs. He proudly highlighted the remarkable feat achieved by Alapako CDA, which recently earned recognition as the 2nd runner-up in the Best CDA category in Lagos State.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of cash rewards to the top three performing CDAs in Olorunda LCDA. Alapako Estate CDA emerged as the best, receiving a prize of ₦500,000, followed by Flourmills Co-operative Housing CDA in second place with ₦300,000, while Iwajowa Arojogun CDA took the third position, securing ₦200,000.
Hon. Odu Abraham, the Supervisor for Agriculture, Youth, and Community Development, commended the performance and compliance of all CDAs, emphasizing their crucial role in grassroots governance. He reiterated the council's unwavering support for community development efforts.
In his address, Hon. Olatunde reaffirmed the pivotal role of CDAs in governance, urging them to uphold their mandate with integrity and dedication. He called for heightened vigilance and unity, particularly in ensuring peace and security as the Local Government elections draw near. He further stressed the importance of cooperation and active community participation in sustaining the progress achieved so far.
The meeting was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Chairperson of the Council, Evangelist Oluwakemi Olatunde, key council executives led by the Secretary to the Council, Hon. Odu Joseph, legislators headed by the Leader of the House, Hon. Ariwayo Christian, and members of the management team, led by the Council Manager, Mr. Abiodun Osineye.
With this latest gesture, Hon. Olatunde has once again demonstrated his administration's dedication to grassroots empowerment, infrastructural development, and fostering community cohesion in Olorunda LCDA.
