Speaking during a plenary session on Friday, Bonu lauded President Tinubu’s governance, asserting that his remarkable performance has made the APC the preferred political platform for politicians seeking progressive leadership.
He cited the recent defection of Senator Ned Nwoko, the lawmaker representing Delta North, who officially left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC on February 5, 2025. Bonu described Nwoko’s move as a testament to the growing influence of Tinubu’s administration.
The lawmaker further highlighted the defection of Hon. Stella Osafile, the only Labour Party (LP) legislator representing Amuwo-Odofin I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He welcomed Osafile into the APC, emphasizing that her decision was driven by the president’s outstanding achievements.
Bonu’s remarks reflect the increasing wave of political realignments in Nigeria, as the APC continues to attract opposition figures impressed by Tinubu’s governance and policies.
