His Royal Majesty, De-Ovitotode Toyi I (FCCN), Aholu Fabiyi Jimoh, the Sano of Ikoga-Zebbe Kingdom in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing Mr. Rasaq Mautin Olajuwon Akinyemi as the Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). Akinyemi, an indigene of Badagry and a seasoned administrator in the Lagos State Civil Service, has been described as a deserving choice for the position.

In his remarks, Aholu Sano hailed the appointment as historic and a rare privilege for the people of Badagry since the inception of President Tinubu’s administration in 2023. He expressed gratitude for the President’s commitment to the reformed 12-4 compulsory basic education policy, which integrates both primary and secondary education as a foundation for academic excellence. The monarch noted that this aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at securing a brighter future for Nigeria and generations to come.

In a personally signed letter of appreciation, Aholu Sano stated, "We were thrilled to receive the news of the appointment of Mautin Olajuwon Akinyemi, our distinguished son from Iragon, a locality within the Ikoga-Zebbe Kingdom in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, as the new Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) for UBEC."

He applauded President Tinubu for recognizing a worthy son of Badagry for such a strategic role in the education sector, describing it as a testament to the administration’s commitment to excellence. He highlighted Akinyemi’s distinguished career, including his previous role as Director of Administration and Human Resources in the Office of Infrastructure, Lagos State.

Expressing confidence in the appointee’s abilities, the monarch emphasized that Akinyemi’s blend of local and international training, along with his extensive experience in public service, would be invaluable in his new role at the Federal Government level.

"We also take this opportunity to affirm our confidence in the appointee. Mr. Akinyemi is indeed an exemplary choice—a perfect fit for this role under your resolute and visionary leadership," Aholu Sano stated.
