Mudashiru Obasa, the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, made a notable return to the legislative complex on Monday, engaging in a crucial meeting with a group of lawmakers outside the chamber.
Mojisola Meranda, the current Speaker of the Assembly, was also present at the discussions. However, the gathering soon split into two groups, with Obasa and Meranda proceeding to a separate meeting alongside the Lagos Attorney-General and the state’s APC Chairman.
Obasa has continued to challenge his removal from office, arguing that the process leading to his ouster on January 13 was flawed.
