The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims that it will resume the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) on May 27, 2025.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 4, INEC’s Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, described the circulating report as false and urged the public to disregard it.
“The Commission has not announced any resumption date for the CVR. The report making the rounds is misleading,” Oyekanmi stated.
INEC reassured Nigerians that it remains committed to providing timely and accurate information regarding electoral processes and advised citizens to rely only on official channels for updates.
