Lagos State has been thrown into mourning following the passing of the Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mrs. Bola Shobowale.
Shobowale, who had been battling a prolonged illness for nearly a year, succumbed earlier today. Her death comes just days after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu appointed the council’s Vice Chairman, Oladipupo Oluwaloni, as Acting Chairman to stabilize the administration amid her absence.
The late chairman’s passing marks the end of a challenging period for the LCDA, which had struggled with governance issues due to her prolonged ill health.
Meanwhile, tributes are pouring in from political leaders and residents, mourning her loss and reflecting on her contributions to the local government.
