Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Akinyemi Rasaq Mautin Olajuwon and Lateef Yahaya on their recent appointments to key government positions.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Akinyemi Rasaq Mautin Olajuwon as Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), a role that underscores his dedication and contributions to national development. Similarly, Lateef Yahaya, popularly known as "Way," was appointed as a member of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Hon. Whingan commended President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu for recognizing the competence and commitment of these distinguished individuals from Badagry. He emphasized that their appointments reflect the administration’s drive to empower experienced professionals in nation-building.

“I wholeheartedly congratulate Olajuwon and Yahaya on their well-deserved appointments,” Whingan stated. “Olajuwon’s expertise will greatly enhance UBEC’s technical capacity, while Yahaya’s new role in the Lagos State Civil Service Commission will further strengthen governance at the state level. This is a proud moment for Badagry, and I deeply appreciate President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu for their trust in our people.”

The lawmaker highlighted the significance of these appointments, urging both appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear in advancing the mandates of their respective offices. He expressed confidence that their leadership will contribute meaningfully to the progress of education and governance in Nigeria.

“This is a call to service,” he added. “I encourage them to remain committed to excellence and to use their positions to create lasting impact for our people.”

The appointments reaffirm the Tinubu administration’s commitment to engaging seasoned professionals in key sectors, ensuring the continued growth and development of Nigeria’s education and civil service systems.
