Ade-Balogun Movement Unveils Five Endorsed Councillorship Aspirants for Olorunda LCDA

The Ade-Balogun Movement, a political campaign group supporting the chairmanship ambition of Hon. Adeniyi Idris Balogun, in a strategic move ahead of the upcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries has officially unveiled five aspirants for councillorship positions across the wards of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The unveiling, which took place during a leadership meeting of the group at Ibereko, saw the endorsement of five aspirants for the five wards within the LCDA. Those presented include Hon. Aina Dauda (Ward A), Hon. Kareem Lookman (Ward B), Hon. Oluwaseyi James Osojah (Ward C), Hon. Ewetan Emmanuel (Ward D), and Hon. Ambe Alice (Ward E).

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the Ade-Balogun Movement and former Secretary to the Local Government, Prince Wale Adesina, emphasized that the selected aspirants were chosen based on their competence, popularity, and widespread acceptability within their respective wards.

“These candidates were not selected arbitrarily. They represent the collective desire of the people and have shown exceptional leadership capacity. Our task now is to rally support for them ahead of the APC primaries slated for May 10, 2025,” he said.

Prince Adesina also charged members of the movement to intensify grassroots mobilization for Hon. Adeniyi Idris Balogun, whom he described as the most viable chairmanship aspirant with a proven track record and broad-based support across Olorunda LCDA.

In his remarks, Hon. Adeniyi Idris Balogun expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support from the group, promising to prioritize good governance and the welfare of all residents and party faithful in Olorunda LCDA if elected.

“I am humbled by your continuous support and commitment to our shared vision. Let us remain focused and unwavering as we push towards victory in the primaries and ultimately at the general polls,” he urged.

The meeting was well attended by notable political stakeholders and supporters, including Hon. Oluranti Ajose, a former Lagos State House of Assembly member for Badagry Constituency II; Hon. Fagbamila Oluwadamilare, Olorunda LCDA Coordinator of the Sustainable Hope Agenda (SHA); Hon. Akin Ajayi, former Executive Secretary of Olorunda LCDA; and Mr. Akin Rotimi, Secretary of the Ade-Balogun Movement, among others.

With the unveiling of its councillorship candidates, the Ade-Balogun Movement has further consolidated its position as a formidable force within the APC structure in Olorunda LCDA.
