Alhaja Madinat Abike Bolaji Adebayo, a frontline female aspirant for the Chairmanship position in Olorunda Local Council Development Area, has officially declared her intention to contest in the forthcoming local government elections under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The declaration event, held today, April 18, 2025, at the prestigious Interior Hotels in Aradagun, marked the official flag-off of her campaign.

Alhaja Madinat Adebayo, who currently serves as the Education Secretary of the Badagry Local Government Education Authority, unveiled her campaign agenda before an enthusiastic and mammoth crowd made up of youths, women, party faithfuls, community stakeholders, and political leaders within the LCDA.

In her rousing address, Alhaja Adebayo emphasized that agriculture, education, youth development, and women empowerment would form the cornerstone of her administration if elected as chairman of Olorunda LCDA.

“Our communities are rich in potential and our people deserve leadership that is proactive, responsive and visionary. I am committed to promoting grassroots development through strategic investments in agriculture, access to quality education, youth initiatives, and the empowerment of women to become economic drivers,” she stated.

She further noted that Olorunda is ripe for transformation, and her administration will foster inclusive policies that will uplift the standard of living for all residents of the council area.

The declaration event was particularly significant as it became the first official campaign launch across Badagry Division following the directive of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), which set April 18, 2025, as the commencement date for political campaigns for the upcoming local government elections in Lagos State.

Party leaders and dignitaries who attended the flag-off praised Alhaja Adebayo’s years of service in the educational sector and her dedication to grassroots empowerment. They expressed confidence in her ability to deliver impactful governance rooted in transparency, accountability, and people-centered development.

As the race to the polls intensifies, Alhaja Madinat Abike Bolaji Adebayo stands as a symbol of hope, competence, and inclusive leadership for the people of Olorunda LCDA.
