Ashaka made the announcement via his official Facebook page, expressing deep excitement over the opportunity. As part of the project’s first cohort, he will undergo a six-month intensive training programme delivered by Pioneers Post, a renowned storytelling platform. The training will focus on equipping participants with skills in ethical journalism and compelling storytelling to spotlight education and bring to light the struggles faced by marginalized communities worldwide.
“This isn’t just another title or initiative for me,” Ashaka wrote. “It marks a meaningful new chapter in advancing Theirworld’s mission to end the global education crisis.”
In his new role as a Global Youth Ambassador representing Nigeria, Ashaka will join a diverse network of young changemakers united by a shared belief in education as a powerful tool for social transformation. He views the initiative not only as a platform to grow and learn but also as an avenue to inspire change within his community and globally.
Theirworld’s Journalism & Storytelling Project is aimed at raising awareness and driving action on global education challenges through the voices of youth leaders. Ashaka’s inclusion in the inaugural cohort underscores his growing influence as a voice for youth empowerment and education advocacy on the international stage.
