This adjustment, according to a statement issued on Saturday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, is aimed at accommodating key operational commitments of the Board and its partner agencies.
A total of 2,030,627 candidates have registered for the 2025 UTME—marking the highest number of applications ever recorded in the Board’s history. Among them, 41,026 candidates are under the age of 16.
In preparation for the examination, JAMB has also activated the portal for candidates to print their Examination Notification Slips, which provide critical details such as:
-
Examination date
-
Venue (centre)
-
Time
-
Other essential instructions
Candidates are strongly advised to print their slips starting from Saturday, April 19, 2025, and are encouraged to visit their examination centres at least a day or two ahead of the scheduled date to ensure a smooth experience.

JAMB reiterated that no candidate will be posted to a centre outside their selected examination town, emphasizing that logistical ease and accessibility remain a priority.
The Board also used the opportunity to dissociate itself from false and misleading messages circulating on social media regarding UTME-related information, urging candidates to rely solely on official JAMB communication channels for updates.
With the new exam date now confirmed, candidates are urged to make necessary preparations and adhere strictly to the guidelines provided for a successful and hitch-free examination.
