As the build-up to the Lagos State Local Government elections gains momentum, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, a key political figure in the state, has extended her goodwill and offered a message of unity to all aspirants contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Adebule, who represents Lagos West Senatorial District at the National Assembly and is a prominent member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) from the Badagry Division, took to Facebook to address the aspirants who have picked up nomination forms ahead of the elections.
Describing this period as “crucial” for the APC, she commended the enthusiasm of the aspirants and acknowledged the importance of the local government polls in shaping the grassroots governance structure across Lagos State.
“To all the aspirants who have picked up the nomination forms for the LGAs in Lagos West Senatorial District, I wish you all the best in your quest to win the candidacy of our Party, the APC,” she said.
But beyond personal ambition, Senator Adebule emphasized the importance of party unity and collective responsibility. In a firm call for sportsmanship, she urged all contenders to support whoever emerges as the party’s flagbearer.
“I sincerely urge all aspirants to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and rally around whoever emerged as the candidate so that we can all march towards the elections as a unified force, unshakable in our resolve to win for our Party, our dear State and make our Darling President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu proud,” she stated.
The message, which has begun to make rounds within the political circles of Badagry and beyond, is seen as a timely reminder of the need for cohesion within the APC ranks, particularly as the party looks to consolidate its stronghold in Lagos.
