The visit, which took place at Hon. Whingan’s Ibereko residence in Olorunda LCDA, was aimed at fostering closer ties between the Corps and the community’s leadership. CSC Ekunola, who assumed duty at the Badagry Division just two weeks ago, was accompanied by a team of senior NSCDC officers. Among them were Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) Oretuga Oluwaseyi, Officer-in-Charge of Badagry West; Assistant Superintendent of Corps I (ASCI) Dansu Sesi Tolulope, Officer-in-Charge of Disaster Management; ASCI Idowu Olusola Israel, Personal Assistant and Protocol Officer to the Divisional Officer; ASCI Awe Eyitayo, Officer-in-Charge of Intelligence; and ASCI Vothunnu Solomon, Officer-in-Charge of Riverine and Marine Operations.

In his remarks, CSC Ekunola commended Hon. Whingan’s outstanding representation of Badagry at the National Assembly, describing his achievements as widely recognized across the constituency. He noted that in just a short time since arriving in Badagry, he had been well-briefed on the many impactful projects and interventions the young lawmaker had spearheaded.
While appreciating the warm reception, CSC Ekunola also highlighted some operational challenges facing the Corps in Badagry, particularly the urgent need for operational vehicles to enhance the division’s efficiency and quick response capabilities.
In response, Hon. Whingan assured the NSCDC delegation of his unwavering support. He pledged to reach out to the Director-General of the Corps at the national level to seek prompt intervention in addressing the issues raised. Reiterating Badagry’s reputation for peace and hospitality, he encouraged the officers to feel at home and perform their duties diligently, with the full backing of the community.
“Badagry is home to peace-loving people,” Hon. Whingan said. “I urge you to be at ease, be diligent, and rest assured that the community is always willing to support any effort that enhances our security and safety.”
Also present during the visit were prominent members of Hon. Whingan’s team, including former House of Representatives Member Hon. Sejiro Samuel; Hon. Prince Wale Adesina, Coordinator of the Sesi Whingan Foundation; Mr. Sedegla Pot-Balogun, Chairman of the Sesi Whingan Campaign Organization; Elder Joshua Avigbe; Hon.
